Grated cherry pie – 2 best recipes of pies

Some time ago grated cherry pie kept the popularity of baked products. In spring and summer – with various berries, in autumn – with fragrant apples, in winter – with sour and thick jam. In any case, they remain one of the most delicious and easily prepared pies. We will bake a grated cherry pie.
Recipe 1. Grated cherry pie.
Flour – 350 g
Butter – 120 g (softened)
Sugar powder – 120 g
Eggs – 2
Baking Powder – 0.5 tsp.
Vanilla essence
Cherries – 309 g
Sugar powder – 1 tsp. for cherries sprinkling
Starch – 1 tsp.
Cinnamon – 1 tsp.
Step 1. Be sure that in your cherries all the bones are selected. If no, do it with a pin, pulling a bone from the side.
Step 2. Next, make a dough for our future grated cherry pie. The oil must be softened. In a bowl put butter, sugar powder, a couple drops of vanilla essence, salt, eggs. Then turn everything into a homogeneous mass.
Step 3. Take flour and baking powder and add to the bowl of the oily-egg mixture. Continue to mix with the blender for another 10-15 seconds, until the crumbs turn out.
Step 4. And now, with your hands, dazzle everything quickly in a ball, and then divide the resulting dough into two unequal parts. One make a little more than the other. One part – 2 \ 3, and the second – 1 \ 3. And now wrap both balls in the film and put in the freezer for an hour, to make the dough a little harder.
Step 5. Prepare the oven, 180°. Cover the form with some baking paper.
Step 6. Now take the cherries, drain the juice (if any) and gently mix with cinnamon and powdered sugar. For a greater flavor, you can also add, for example, a lemon or an orange peel. Sprinkle berries with starch.
Get a large part of the dough and grate on the entire surface of the mold. Spread the cherries over the top.
Step 7. After that take the second smaller half of the dough and grate on the cherries top.
Step 8. We put the pie in the preheated oven. It is important, otherwise, the oil will simply melt and flow, and because of it, the pie will become harder than we want. So, bake for about 40-50 minutes.
Step 9. Let the grated cherry pie cool and enjoy!
Recipe 2. Grated cherry pie.
For grated dough:
Butter 120 g.
Sugar 100 g.
Eggs – 2
Flour 350 g.
Baking powder ½ tsp.
For cherry filling:
Cherries 350 g.
Starch 1 tbsp.
Sugar 3 tbsp.
Step 1. Mix the often butter with the sugar. In the received weight add eggs, blend up to homogeneity.
Step 2. Combine the flour with the baking powder, pour into the dough and stir well. The dough should be formed into a ball.
Step 3. The dough should be divided into three identical parts, wrap them in some food film and put into the freezer for 30-40 minutes.
Step 4. Wash the cherries, remove bones, sprinkle the cherries with starch and sugar, then mix.
Step 5. The form should be laid with baking paper, grate there the two pieces of dough on a large grater, evenly distribute it on the bottom of the mould.
Step 6. In a chaotic manner, spread the cherry.
Step 7. On the top grate the remaining dough.
Step 8. Put the pie in a preheated to 180-degree oven and bake until golden brown on top – about 35-45 minutes.
Ready grated cherry pie should be cool, then cut into small portions and serve. Have a nice tea!
